  3. Your favorite thing about Megadeth?
  4. Other bands/genres you’re into?

I’ll start:

1. My favorite album as of right now is So Far, So Good So What. Particularly, for the sound/production of the album and every song is great. In fact, I personally believe it is extremely overlooked.

2. Hook in Mouth since it’s catchy and I like how the lyrics criticize the PMRC. Also, Dave spelling out Freedom is really creative.

3. Too many things to choose from, but Dave’s vocals on Youthanasia are pure perfection and so is the album in general as it’s my second favorite. Just listen to Addicted to Chaos or Train of Consequences and see for yourself!

4. Some of my favorite bands are Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Scorpions, Anthrax, Virgin Vs, Guns N' Roses, Slipknot, and the Ramones. Aside from metal/rock, I like J-Pop, new wave, and sometimes R&B and Funk

Hey, nice to see an old school forum, I hope you'll be able to attract more fans to this site.

1. That's a tough question to answer, but I'd have to say that it's a tie between Peace Sells and The System Has Failed

2. Oof, that's an even harder question to answer. I'd say it's a tie between Hangar 18, 99 Ways to Die, The Conjuring, Blackmail the Universe, and Addicted to Chaos.

3. Dave's attitude and the riffs.

4. Nowadays I'm more of a jam band fan, so I'm really into the Grateful Dead, Phish, Allman Brothers Band, etc., but I still listen to tons of metal on top of a lot of classic rock, jazz, blues, folk, and mostly guitar based music.

1) Hard to chose, maybe Rust In Peace, my very first Megadeth album to listen and it has my second Megadeth song to play on guitar (Tornado Of Souls)
2) À Tout Le Monde. It was my refuge when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and my first Megadeth song to play on guitar.
3) I think Dave's stories of overcoming issues during his entire life made Megadeth a single band, like no other.
4) I'm also fan of Ozzy (specially during the Randy Rhoads years), Queen, Angra, Iron Maiden, ACϞDC, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin in the Rock/Metal genre. I also love classical music, jazz and I admire Blues a lot.

Welcome Dave'sTornado!

I love Rust In Peace. My favorite track is Hangar 18. By the way, when did you start playing guitar, and do you have any other songs you like to play?

Also, I couldn't agree more with the third point, especially in the beginning, when Dave had an intense drug addiction.

1. Favorite album is Rust in Peace, because the first song I literally heard was Hangar 18 in a mp3 player which i borrowed back then from a friend, discovered rest of the songs, dug deep and even found more dope albums. That was it no turning back.
2. Absolute Favorite is Take no prisoners others with mechanix , peace sells, set the world afire, wake up dead and so many more.
3.Dave himself , the absolute madlad. His quest for revenge, his wrist torturing riffs. absolute rhythm lord.
4.I am a fan of their arch rivals too( love them both bands), Necrophagist (another torture rhythms), the thrash revivals (Vektor, Municipal Waste, Havok, Evile) ,Iron Maiden, Black sabbath , Mastodon, Pink Floyd, Eminem, video game soundtracks etc etc .

Thank you! Good luck with this project! Well, I started to play the guitar when I was 15. I used to be the pianist and the main voice from my former band. Then I was kicked out. So, I began to start learning some known songs on guitar (like Paranoid, Smoke On The Water, Starman, Breaking The Law) and was recruited to another band as the main guitarrist. I learnt everything on guitar by ear, I can't read sheet music. I also play She-Wolf, In My Darkest Hour, Youthanasia, Dystopia and The Last Note (I learned it two months ago, never played live until now)

  1. Favorite album? Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
  2. Favorite song? Peace Sells
  3. Your favorite thing about Megadeth? The fan interaction with Dave and the rest of the band.
  4. Other bands/genres you’re into? My top five are Megadeth, Testament, Suicidal Tendencies, Amon Amarth & Exodus. Other then that I'm good with most Thrash Metal, and a ton of other Metal Bands.

Hey JC_BRHM! Welcome to the forum.

Video game soundtracks are great. Do you have any particular ones that you like?

Welcome Nordic Deth.
Peace Sells is the track that got me hooked. Once I heard the intro, I knew I was in for something special.

1. Favorite album? It's a tough one but for the 90s definitely Countdown to Extinction and for modern The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead!
2. Favorite song? Back In the Day. It most likely was the first Megadeth song I ever heard. It was featured on an episode of Duck Dodgers
3. My favorite thing about Medageth? Probably the fact they have such a good discography of music and the fact I just like Dave Mustaine.
4. Other bands/genres I'm into? Bands: A7X, Limp Bizkit, 3DG, KoRn, Linkin Park. Genres: Classic Country, 80s Pop, Jpop.

Welcome Megadave!

I saw the Duck Dodgers episode a while ago. I'm a Looney Tunes fan, so it was nice seeing two things I like come together. Dave Mustaine is coming out with a book in September, I may give it a read since what I've heard so far in interviews seemed interesting.

I definitely plan to buy the book when it comes out. Hopefully they do a hardcover release.

1. My favorite album would have to be Rust In Peace objectively, but closely followed by Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? But I alternate between all of the first four albums, currently spinning So Far, So Good... So What! The most recently. Of their modern albums Endgame, then Dystopia but they are basically tied. The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! Is also right up there but gets a little repetitive sounding between tracks 6-10 (I am a mission to mars enjoyer however)

2. My favorite song is always changing to some degree, and it's so hard to pick just one, but putting is objectively again it will always have to be Holy Wars... The Punishment Due. Besides that though, I've been playing these tracks a lot lately: Good Mourning / Black Friday, 502, Hook In Mouth, Rust In Peace... Polaris, Addicted To Chaos, Washington Is Next!, Headcrusher, Dance In The Rain, and Poisonous Shadows. I could keep going but these 10 are my most frequented of the past month or so.

3. My favorite thing about Megadeth is the diversity of the music, from the early days with jazz influenced chords and swing, to the modern crushing heaviness, and the atmosphere in the in-between year's albums like Youthanasia, and even been discovering risk lately. There really are some awesome tracks on there. I really think Dave was right the "Megadeth" name on that album makes you expect the wrong thing, I don't think it's a 10/10 album sure, but the consistency is incredible escpecially compared to the other "M" band's experimental era.

4. Favorite bands besides Megadeth: My number 1 favorite will always have to be ZZ Top, but I don't really listen to that much southern rock, if you wanna call 'em that as they are kinda their own thing, but Stevie Ray Vaughn is also another one of my favorites. For Thrash Exodus has become my other favorite along with Slayer and Overkill, I do enjoy Metallica's early records aswell, but it has kinda taken a back seat a little bit. For a bit of a mixed bag of other genres of Metal/Rock, I love Judas Priest, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Pantera, Black Label Society, Machine Head, and Disturbed

Welcome MegaBeavis.

For the second point, when did you start playing guitar? Also, I like seeing people appreciate Megadeth's discography past Countdown to Extinction. I'm personally not the biggest fan of Risk but I like the songs Breadline and I'll Be There.

About two years ago, about a year of consistently playing though, still a novice. Although playing Megadeth riffs slowly and accurately does improve you're skill pretty quickly!

Hello! :) Please call me Charlie.

Favorite album: Youthanasia
Favorite song: Mechanix and Holy Wars
Favorite thing about Megadeth: I love emotional songs, which Megadeth has a lot of
Other bands/genres I'm into: I only really listen to metal with a bit of rock and grunge sprinkled in. Some of my other favorite artists include Metallica, System Of A Down, Cannibal Corpse, Korn and Avenged Sevenfold.
